Arsenal Transfer News: Walcott signs and Hatem Ben Arfa

It’s finally over! Reports are coming in that the Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has signed a new contract with the club worth £90k per week not including other add-ons or over £20 million over five years. This contract saga which has carried on for about six months since the summer comes at a time when Arsenal seem to be losing its best player without the ability to attract new ones to the club. As everyone knows, the contract stand-off has a lot to do with the money involved (Walcott wanted £100k while Arsenal was only prepared to pay £75k) but also the position that the player wants to play. For the later, Arsene Wenger seems to try and accomodate Walcott in the past month or so but whether it will still be the case in the future remains to be seen. In truth, Walcott has done well when in the central position but many critics (myself included) remains skeptical about the player’s ability as a central striker.

In other news, Arsene Wenger is said to be thinking about making a bid for Hatem Ben Arfa of Newcastle. Ben Arfa is said to be exploring new avenues as Newcastle seems intent on cashing in with the sale of its stars. As he has proven in the Premiership, Ben Arfa is a good player but seems to be a little inconsistent and too injury prone. However, he would be a great addition to the team as Arsene Wenger tries to accomodate Walcott in the middle. The fight for Ben Arfa won’t be easy though as mega rich Paris Saint Germain is also said to be interested in the player.

think you need to do your research mate, Ben Arfa has never said that he is exploring his options, he said he is happy at newcastle and isn’t looking to leave. And newcastle aren’t looking to sell their star players, 1 has left, Ba, and that was a clause in his contract which newcastle could do nothing about at the time of the sale

think you need to do your research mate, Ben Arfa has never said that he is exploring his options, he said he is happy at newcastle and isn’t looking to leave, and also PSG haven’t made any formal contact or even informal with Ben Arfa, that’s speculation brewed up by French press. Congratulations on signing up Walcott, you need him. Top player.

As for Ben Arfa, I wouldn’t read too much into half-arsed reports on him wanting to leave. He’s out injured until the end of next month anyway. The press always make up stories about our best players leaving (yes I’m a Newcastle fan), it’s most annoying.

There’s a translation in the link below of what Ben Arfa ACTUALLY said in that now infamous (to Geordies) French interview. Simply a case of them putting words into his mouth with loaded questions. As far as I can tell he wants to stay at NUFC, for the time-being. It’s all down to how our incompetent fat owner handles this transfer window, and of course how we finish in the league!

…good luck in your season anyway!

What a load of tosh, HBA will not and has said he is not interested in a move, the problem with you southern idiots you don’t understand English, which part of no I will stay at Newcastle unless they show no ambition at all, in other words he wants to stay.
now go burn the rest of your shite hole

You’re right about this being a ‘Kid’s’ blog. Very shoddy story. Ben Arfa, when probed, said he’s always been a fan of Paris. This answer provokes people like you to write nonsensical junk in return for website hits. And the situation at Newcastle does not include cashing in. Delusional thoughts from fantasy island. Have fun paying weekly wages to see your team win nothing. Ps, cry me a fucking river.

Again, another dilluded Arsenal fan writing an article wishing he knew about football.

Ben Arfa was mis quoted, look it up. Also Newcastle intent on cashing in on their stars? Sure we’ve sold a few but thats not our intent. You could say the same thing about Arsenal – Fabregas,Nasri,Clichy,Van Persie….

This blog even has tomorrow’s date on it. So, from what I can see here this is a failed article/failed site, you should give up. It might even turn out Theo hasn’t signed on and then you really are useless.

Good news on Walcott for the Gunners. Just a word of warning, The Ben Arfa thing is pure speculation following a badly translated interview he gave in France. Also, Ba went to Chelski for £7 Mill because they activated his clause, hardly cashing in on players eh? And NUFC value Santon at £15m. HBA would be £25 – £30m. Can’t see the professor splashing that gents. Good luck to HBA if he does though.

Hatem Ben Arfa would never leave Newcastle in January. If he’s leaving it will not be until summer. As he is gonna save Newcastle from relegation, and would only leave if GREAT clubs come knocking for him in the summer like PSG, not arsenal). He’s been a PSG fan since he was a kid!
