Everything I read or heard today is all negative about the Gunners. Yes, it was a bad result and the performance in the first half of disappointing but for me the contest ended with the Koscielny send-off. It was probably a right decision but I would bet that you will find another 100 instances of a similar offence that will go unpunished. In fact, I am sure this decision is the first this season given by the referee for a defender holding on to the striker in the penalty box.
I am not going to dwell on how bad or any negative news about last night. I choose to focus on what was promising about the team. The second performance, although not their best by any standards, was at least full of fight. Szczesny was also pretty commanding in his box but the brightest spot last night was the performance of Jack Wilshere.
Jack has not gone back up to his best level yet but his performance yesterday was very positive. He was everywhere and fighting for every ball. The City players were so afraid of him that every time he got the ball, he was surrounded by at least 2 or 3 players. He passing was good and penetrating runs created problems for the City defense. It was just a pity that his other teammates did not match his desire and drive in the match.
These is the kind of performance that we can expect from Jack in the future. He is close to being his best now and his form will be crucial for the second half of the season. Now all we can hope is the other guys can supplement Jack in the team.

Yes! no player can match with Jack wilshere in arsenal he always push the ball forward, not expired player like Diaby who delays with ball.bravo Jack q
The with yesterday’s was Wenger, him being the architect of statistics, he knows very well that verm and kos have had the worst season of their career. and per is the only depenable defender we have had this season why do u rest him if he is fit. i think that Wenger bets in these games.
Wenger lost everything in 2006 after Barca game that was his last chance and it affected him. i don’t think he will ever win something with Arsenal again. History repeats it’s self follow Wenger of Monaco what happened in Monaco? the same thing is happening here. his time is over. let him, the board resign. time outttttttttttttttttttttttttttt for them.
yea i agree jack is improving. But for me going down to 10 makes it very hard to come back. As for the sending off, well the ref has the right to as he held back the last man, but he law is flawed as Arsenal are punished twice. If that had happened outside the box, even a good way out of the box then sending off , why should a player be dismissed and a penalty, as you say these fouls go unmentioned all of the time, even worse holding, the ref was shit, and he went onto perforn shit, giving a sending off to balance things, unfortunatly he had al;ready ruined the game by sending off kos, he let play go on and tevez had a header well saved by chez, .
Wђã† a lame excuse Koscieiny dismissal has turn to! I must confess that I did not watch d match live. I was afraid of cardiac arrest. What else are we Arsenal fans expecting from a string of B-rated players? Apart from Wilshere, Cazorla & Arteta, which other player in Arsenal is guaranteed a shirt in world top clubs?
My fear is that Wilshere too might fell into d same kind of complacency that Cazorla has definately fell into once he too realised that he is playing in d midst of mediocre players who can never win anything.
Top teams are bidding for Cavani, Falcao even Man U are talking of Ronaldo & PSG is talking about Messi. But my team, in a capitalist country is talking about one socialist wage structure that could only attracts players that I will have τ̲̅ȍ google up before I know where they comes from. Top teams are buying top players, but my team is selling RVP (I so much hate mentioning that name now) & buying Giroud. Squillaci is playing for Arsenal because that’s d kind of player we could get for 3m.
Our team lack depth. Arteta is injured & we have τ̲̅ȍ rush in injured Diaby. Koscieny is out now, Mert & TV must not be injured & in will come Squillaci (I feel like vomitting) against Bayern Munich. Will Walcott top strike for Barca or for R Madrid or even PSG?
Gradually, we are heading d Liverpool way. If a good bid comes for Wilshere tomorrow, I won’t be Surprised if we sell him. That’s Wђã† we have become, a selling team that sells its best τ̲̅ȍ better teams.
So please, let no one use Koscieny dismissal as an excuse, anybody can see that coming, because its so glaring that Chelsea, with Luiz, Lampard, Hazard, Oscar, Mata & BA will beat us silly next week. (all these names, with d exception of Lampard were once linked with Arsenal, but socialist Wenger won’t buy when he can get Chammakh for free)
